Meet The Artists
Sandy and Missy Kaolin have been collaborating their artistry for over 25 years.
He throws precise forms on the potters wheel, then she precisely re-forms them.
Nationally recognized, they have exhibited at S.O.F.A. (Chicago and NY),
Art Expo and the Norman Rockwell Museum. The Boston Globe describes their
work as “remarkably lifelike” with “meticulous details”.
This husband and wife clay duo complement and rely on each other’s skills
during all aspects of the process – designing, construction, coloring and firing.
They employ imaginative concepts executed with expertise. Both traditional
and non-conventional techniques are embraced resulting in an unlimited
palette of pigments and styles. Their menu of ceramic fare includes nudes,
animals, teapots, cars, faux food, abstracts, flowers, instruments, wall art …
Customization is their speciality. Clients can feel comfortable suggesting themes,
sizing and coloring when commissioning a personalized artwork created for
themselves or others.
